More Than a Celebration: A Mission in Action
This year's gala represents the culmination of LABNNY's dedication to our core values of networking, education, giving, empowerment, community, and leadership. As a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization, we are committed to connecting, educating, and empowering Latina professionals while giving back to the community through impactful initiatives.
We're proud to announce our charitable recipient of 2025, the Long Island Latino Teachers Association (LILTA), for this year's event. Together, we aim to raise $25,000 to support LILTA's vital efforts in improving graduation rates and advancing educational success for Latino students across our region.
Making a Difference: Our Impact Story
The transformative power of our community was perfectly captured by our 2024 Member of the Year, Chrissy, whose son attends Nassau Suffolk Services for Autism (NSSA):
"When I joined LABNNY, I was looking for something outside of the world of autism. Autism doesn't just affect the individual with the diagnosis. It also affects the entire family. LABNNY has allowed me to connect with like-minded women who understand the importance of helping each other while also taking care of ourselves. When LABNNY announced that my son's school would benefit from this year's gala, it was a real full-circle moment. Autism isn't just a part of who my son Mikey is. It is also part of who I am now."
In 2024, we made history by proudly donating $15,000 to NSSA, demonstrating the incredible power of our united community. This year, we're setting our sights even higher!
